Systems Advocacy:
CANA provides consumer representation in cooperation with the umbella organisation Maternity Coalition. To contact us regarding consumer representation or if there is a specific issue you'd like to talk with us about, such as poor VBAC policies, poor post-caesarean care, lack of support for VBAC, lack of choice in care providers, please feel free to contact us.
 
Individual Advocacy:
As a general rule, CANA does not provide individual advocacy. We aim, instead, to direct women to support organisations which provide information, education and support. CANA holds to the philosophy that women should be empowered to seek independent information and advocate for themselves so they can make informed choices. We also believe in the principal of justice. If there are substantiated complaints about a health service, CANA will aim to address these in cooperation with Maternity Coalition.
